Holland Christian hosted a conference
meet on Wednesday afternoon. The Maroons ran specifically against
Unity Christian. Nathan Schloff once again led the Maroons with a
17:48, the second best time of anyone on the day. Luke Peterson and
Nate Mulder finished about a minute behind Schloff. Nolan VanderZwaag
ran a 19:13; Ryan VanAppledorn rounded out the varsity scores one
minute behind VanderZwaag. Thanks to the guys' earning the 2nd,
3rd, and 4th best times of the race, the
Maroons were able to finish ahead of Unity.
The girls also finished with a few
amazing times. Freshman Kayla Windemuller earned the second best time
of 20:32. Maria Kuiper, Saskia Praamsma, Alyssa Boeve, and Tessa
VandeWalker all followed within two minutes of Windemuller.
Altogether, the lady Maroons' depth earned them an incredible score
of 21, which also defeated Unity.
Holland Christian will race against
Zeeland West on Wednesday, September 17 at Unity Christian.
