2014 Football September 12 vs. Grand Rapids Catholic Central

Holland Christian continued their season on Friday night against the Grand Rapids Catholic Central Cougars. The Cougars took a 7-0 lead early in the first quarter after stringing together a few runs. The Maroons appeared to tie the game when Jared Stygstra connected with Jake Kalkman for 35 yards. The touchdown was unfortunately called off because of a penalty. Catholic Central ended the first quarter with another touchdown to make the score 14-0. A third touchdown late in the second quarter put them up 21-0 at halftime.

It only took a few plays for the Cougars to capitalize for another touchdown in the third quarter. The game eventually came to a close 28-0 in favor of Catholic Central. Holland Christian will travel to Belding on September 19 in search of their first win of the season.
