2013-14 Boys Basketball February 7 vs Hamilton

Holland Christian teamed up with Hamilton on Friday, for the Two Hearts For One Cause event. It took awhile for the teams to get points on the board; the teams combined for only five points through the first four minutes of play. The first quarter came to an end with a score of 12-8 in favor of the Maroons. Kyle Steigenga, despite being held scoreless in the first quarter, scored 10 points in the second quarter. Justin Dykgraaf added nine second quarter points of his own to give the Maroons a 34-24 lead at halftime. The third quarter was very low scoring, as the teams combined for only eight points throughout the entire quarter. Holland Christian entered the fourth quarter with a 40-26 lead. The Maroons outscored the Hawkeyes 12-5 in the fourth quarter, giving Holland Christian the 52-31 victory. Justin Dykgraaf led the Maroons with 15 points. Kyle Steigenga scored 12 and Nick Hill added 9. After tonight's victory, Holland Christian's record improves to 10-3. The Maroons will be back in action at the Civic Center at 4:30 in the afternoon on Saturday, February 8, and will take on the Holland Dutch.
