Holland Christian took on Hamilton on
Wednesday night for the second time of the season. The first game
resulted in a 3-0 victory. The Maroons scored the lone goal of the
first half when Bryce Eggers kicked home a loose ball in front of the
goal.
Hamilton knotted the game up at 1-1
shortly after halftime. Six minutes later, Dylan Busscher found the
foot of Joe Spoelhof to break the tie. Allyn Anthony extended the
deficit to 3-1 about halfway through the second half. Two minutes
later, defender Colin Bennett took a shot from 30 yards out that
snuck past the keeper to make the score 4-1. Bryce Eggers scored on a
free kick in the final minutes to make the final score 5-2. Holland
Christian improves to 11-2-1 overall; 5-1 conference record. The
Maroons have a non-conference match at Hudsonville on Saturday at
