Holland Christian played against
Hudsonville on Saturday afternoon. After many early chances, Bryce
Eggers found the back of the net in the 27th minute for
the lone goal of the first half. Andrew Keizer scored a few minutes
into the second half to give the Maroons the 2-0 lead. Hudsonville
scored a goal late in the game but wasn't able to overcome the
deficit. Holland Christian finished with the 2-1 victory. Though the
goal gap was only one, The Maroons dominated in corner kicks (7-1)
and shots on goal (12-2). Coach DeBoer's team improves to an
impressive 12-2-1 record heading into Monday night's “Night of
Nets” game against Holland.
