Holland Christian ran in the Christian
Schools invitational on Saturday. There was a total of nine Christian
schools for both boys and girls. According to coach DeKruyter, it was
one of the muddiest runs that he has ever seen in his 20 years of
coaching.
Nathan Schloff led the Maroons with a
great time of 18:03. Nate Mulder and Luke Peterson finished right
next to each other around the 19:10 mark. Nolan VanderZwaag, Ryan
VanAppledorn, Aidan Edmunds, and Henry Feikema rounded out the
varsity times. Holland Christian earned 4th place with 124
points.
Kayla Windemuller ran a 21:24, the
seventh fastest time of the day for the girls. Saskia Praamsma, Tessa
VandeWalker, and Margaret VanWylen all finished in the 24th
minute. The girls also finished in 4th place with 115
points.
Holland Christian will host their next
meet on Wednesday, October 10.
