Holland Christian played at their home
course of Winding Creek on Monday afternoon against Zeeland East.
Abby Karsten played very efficiently and earned a 41. Lydia Wiersema
shot a 45 thanks to some clutch shots throughout the match. Juniors
Ali Swets and Brittney Statema shot a 50 and a 51. Brooke Statema
followed her sister with a 54. Freshman Danni VanIwaarden shot a 66
in her varsity debut. In the end, Holland Christian won 187-215.
Coach Velthouse commented on her team's performance, “It was a
great team win. We have a long week with four matches...two OK Green
Jamborees.” Holland Christian will be right back at it on Tuesday
at Hamilton in a conference Jamboree.
