2014 Girls Golf September 11 @ Grand Rapids Christian

The girls' golf team played against Grand Rapids Christian on Thursday. The course had many obstacles: hills, fast greens, and a hole of 507 yards. Despite the difficult course, the girls all maintained above-average scores. Abby Karsten earned a 48, followed by Lydia Wiersema and Brittney Statema with a 49 and a 50, respectively. Brooke Statema rounded out the scoring with a 58 to give the team a collective score of 204. Grand Rapids Christian shot a 205, giving the Maroons the one stroke victory. Holland Christian will host West Ottawa on September 15.
