Holland Christian played against
Zeeland East in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday. Holland
Christian hit the ball hard a lot, but they failed to collect enough
hits to score a run. Zeeland East's big 4 run fourth inning earned
them the 7-0 victory on the day. Nate DeZwaan and Landon Brower each
had a hit. Brower also pitched five innings, struck out six, and only
gave up one earned run. Nick Hill came in and pitched the final
inning.
In other action, Holland beat
Fennville. Because Holland Christian and Fennville both lost, they
played each other in Game 2.
