Holland
Christian played against Zeeland East on Thursday night in below
freezing temperatures. The Maroons had a few opportunities in the
first half off of corner kicks but were unable to convert. The game
was scoreless at halftime. With three minutes remaining in the second
half, Zeeland East found the back of the net after a scramble in
front of the net. That goal ended up being the only goal of the game
as the Chix won 1-0.
“This
is a game we will learn and get better from” said Coach Slenk.
The
Maroons will travel to Calvin Christian on Monday for the last game
before Spring Break. They will begin conference play on Wednesday,
April 15, vs. Hamilton.
