The HC Cheer team
concluded its season on Saturday at the District meet in Mattawan.
They finished with a 209.8 in the first round. They earned a 185.6 in
round two, but were once again docked ten points for not having
enough girls on the mat. The girls entered the third round with a
subtotal of 385.4. Despite scoring a 291.2—their second best round
score of the season—in round three, they ended up in ninth place
out of the 15 teams. The Maroons' total score was 676.6.
Two very talented seniors
cheered in their last meet as a Maroon: Kara Wassink and Sarah
Bomers. Both girls have represented the HC Cheer team both on the
sidelines and on the mat for all four years of high school. meet on
