Holland
Christian traveled to Grandville on Saturday to compete in the
Grandville Invitational. Holland Christian was one of many teams
involved in the event. The Maroons scored very well considering they
were missing a girl. Holland Christian scored 206.8 in the first
round, and 180.88 in the second round. Holland Christian
came back and finished the third round with a score of 272.7, giving
them a final score of 660.38. The Maroons ended up coming in third
place. Paw Paw finished in second, and Otsego finished in first.
Coach Gernaat commented on her team's performance: “Our
goals today were to have pretty back walkovers in round 2 and to
stick round 3 and hit all stunts. We accomplished both of those goals
so I was very pleased!” Holland
Christian's next match will be on Wednesday, January 8, as they will
compete in the Zeeland West Jamboree.
