Holland Christian returned to the
Civic Center on Monday to take on the Pioneers of East Grand Rapids.
The Maroons jumped out to a huge lead in the first quarter, giving
them a 23-8 advantage heading into the second. The Maroons added 15
more points in the second quarter. This gave Holland Christian a
38-19 lead at halftime.
The Maroons continued to dominate
throughout the entire second half. Holland Christian combined for 17
third quarter points, extending their lead to 55-34 after the third.
Holland Christian also scored 17 points in the fourth quarter,
sealing the victory for the Maroons. Holland Christian set a season
record with 72 points, and East
Grand Rapids finished with 49.
Kyle
Steigenga recorded 17 points, Jared Dykstra scored 15, and Sam
Vandersluis added 14. Holland Christian's next game will be played at
Western Michigan Christian on Tuesday, January 21.
