Holland Christian participated in the
Orchard View Invite on Monday night. Nathan Schloff led the boys race
with an amazing 17:59. Nate Mulder and Luke Peterson also finished
with strong times of 18:28 and 18:33 respectively, despite the humid
conditions. The guys' team earned 4th place out of 12
teams on the day. They will continue to work to close the gap between
their top three runners and the next few runners.
The girls team has a lot of depth,
both in age and general running ability. Maria Kuiper, a senior, led
the Maroons with 21:31. Freshman Kayla Windemuller followed Kuiper
with a 21:35. The girls' team finished in second place out of nine
teams.
The next cross country match will be
at South Christian's sports park on Saturday, September 6.
