It was a beautiful day for golf on Tuesday, as the Maroons hosted Grand Rapids Christian. All of the
girls had played great throughout the entirety of the game. Senior
Bre Luurtsema shot a 44 on the day, Junior Lydia Wiersema shot a 45,
senior Candace Hoitenga shot a 47, and senior Kate Ellens shot a 48.
Despite the Maroons great game, Grand Rapids Christian came out on
top with a final score of 184-180. “Their 5th player
played well today to make the difference in the match. I hope we
bounce back tonight and get a win in our Jamboree at Pigeon Creek”.
Their next match will be the Unity Green Jamboree, which will be
played at 3:30 at Pigeon Creek on Wednesday.
