Coming off two consecutive shutouts,
The Maroons traveled to the home of the Hamilton Hawkeyes on
Wednesday. Similar to the past two games, the match started out with
Maroon dominance. Only 15 minutes into the game, it was the sophomore
who put Holland Christian on the board. Bryce Eggers scored with the
assist from his sophomore counterpart Andrew Keizer. The Maroons were
able to put another shot in the back of the net only 10 minutes
later, when Colin Bennett netted a ball from Kyle Wassink.
Defensively, the Maroons could not be beat. Goalie Luke Schepers and
his defenders did not let any past throughout the entirety of the
game. The Maroons finished the game with a final score of 2-0, which
earned them their 3rd consecutive shutout. The Maroons
will look to get another as they play the West Ottawa Panthers in
Hope's Van Andel Arena. The game will kickoff at 7:00.
