Holland
Christian hosted West Ottawa on Friday night. The majority of the
Maroons' first half possessions led to corner kicks and dangerous
chances. Taylor Genzink assisted Alexi Zastrow for the game's first
goal with ten minutes to go in the first half. Zastrow blasted the
ball past the keeper from 20 yards out.
The
second half was the exact opposite. West Ottawa maintained control
for the majority of the half and had many chances. The Panthers
evened the game at 1-1 only 44 seconds into the second half, but the
Maroons were on their heels for the entire half.
“We
are still looking to play a complete game. Our first half was great
but in the second half we looked tired and lost our composure. This
is a game we'll learn from...I'm looking forward to another
conference game on Monday [at Holland]”
