Holland
Christian continued their season on Friday night against their
conference rivals from Byron Center. The Bulldogs scored four
touchdowns over the course of the first quarter, giving them a
commanding 27-0 lead after the first quarter. They extended their
lead to 34-0 after another touchdown drive early in the second
quarter. Holland Christian countered that touchdown with a touchdown
of their own: Jared Stygstra found Alex Bosch from 33 yards out,
making the score 34-7 at halftime.
Byron
Center added two more touchdowns over the course of the second half.
Jared Stygstra scrambled for a 15 yard rushing touchdown with two
minutes remaining in the game. Byron Center finished the game on top
48-14. Holland Christian's record currently sits at 3-4 overall; 2-1
Conference. The Maroons will play their last home game of the season
against Unity Christian on October 17.
