Holland
Christian played against Plainwell in the first game of the Regional
tournament at Gull Lake High School. At halftime, the scoreboard said
0-0. The Maroons, however, dominated in every other aspect of the
game. Holland Christian had 5 corners in the first half, while
Plainwell never tallied a corner kick in the entire game.
Holland
Christian had multiple possessions that consisted of multiple scoring
chances. With less than six minutes remaining in the game, Allyn
Anthony assisted Micah Bieri, who found the back of the net from 20
yards out. Holland Christian fended off Plainwell for the remainder
of the game. The Maroons went home with the 1-0 victory. Holland
Christian has been on fire as of late, outscoring their opponents
18-1 since the Night of Nets game that took place on September 29.
The
next round of Regionals will be on Thursday, October 23. Holland
Christian will play against Mason High School.
