2013 Boys' Varsity Soccer August 26 @ South Christian
The
Maroons traveled to the home of the South Christian Sailors on
Monday, on what was a perfect night for soccer. It was a competitive
match between the two teams throughout the entirety of the game. It

South managed to score another goal off of a beautiful header from
the wing. Despite this, Holland Christian fought back to score a goal
of their own. Abe Wierda took the ball to end line and sent a ball to
the middle, where Bryce Eggers was there to put it away. South added
another goal in the final minutes to put them up 3-1. Coach DeBoer
said following the game, “We
created some decent opportunities and were only able to capitalize on
one. Credit South, they took us out of our game with their high
pressure. We need to learn how to better play our game against high
pressure.” Holland Christian will look to get back on top on
Wednesday as they face off against the Chix of Zeeland East. The
