Holland
Christian played in the semifinal and final games of the Holland
Sentinel Tournament on Saturday at Hamilton. They played against
Holland in the first game and West Ottawa in the second.
The
Maroons sent 12 men to the plate in the second inning and scored
seven runs. Riemersma, Brower, Sterenberg, and York all had RBI hits
in the inning.
York
made the score 8-0 in the fourth inning after he drove in his second
run of the day on a ground ball.
The
Dutch scored four runs in the top of the fifth inning but Holland
Christian came back to get five runs in the bottom of the inning.
Mike Mokma drove in two with a base hit up the middle before he
crossed the plate himself. Slenk drove in the Maroons' thirteenth run
of the game with his game-high third hit.
Sam
Wierda hit an RBI line drive single to left field to end the game
after six innings due to the mercy rule.
Josh
Sterenberg, Josh York, and Mike Mokma all had two hits and two RBIs.
