Holland
Christian played at Saugatuck for the first game of the Sentinel
Classic Tournament. The Maroons sent every batter to the plate in the
third inning for five runs.
In
the sixth inning, Brady Brower drove in Spencer Slenk for his second
RBI single of the day. Later that inning, Josh Sterenberg drove in
Brower for his second RBI single of the day. Josh York capped the
inning off with a bases-clearing 3-RBI double to deep center.
Riemersma,
Brower, Williams, Sterenberg, and Slenk all had two hits.
Along
with his 3-RBI double, Josh York didn't allow a hit until the fifth
inning and finished with six innings pitched, one hit, 10 strikeouts,
and zero earned runs.
Holland
Christian will play the remainder of the tournament at Hamilton
tomorrow. The first game will be against Holland. The other game is
West Ottawa vs. Zeeland East. The winners will play for the
championship and the losers will play for third place.
