Holland Christian hosted Coopersville on Thursday for its last home game of the regular season. Before the game, Spencer Slenk was honored as the only senior of the team. Spencer has shown his leadership on the team both on and off the field.

Thomas Leuschner got the Maroons on the board with an RBI double in the second inning. Mike Mokma drove in the second run with a base hit up the middle.

Holland Christian was down 5-2 after four innings.

Mike Mokma had his second RBI single of the day in the fifth inning. In the next at bat, David Williams found the left side of the infield and drove in another run. After a sacrifice fly and a sacrifice suicide squeeze bunt, the Maroons found themselves on top 6-5 after five.

David Williams drove in a few insurance runs in the sixth inning with a two-RBI double to the right-center gap.

Holland Christian had 14 hits while Coopersville only had four. Williams and Riemersma had three hits apiece. Thomas Leuschner also had a great day with a couple base hits. Josh Sterenberg pitched the final 3.1 innings, gave up zero hits, and earned the win.
