Holland Christian played against the top-ranked East Grand Rapids Pioneers on Saturday afternoon at Hope College. The Maroons scored all three of their runs in the first inning. Mike Mokma drove in two runs with a fly ball to deep left field. Mokma later scored on a suicide squeeze bunt from Josh Sterenberg.

East Grand Rapids scored a run in the first, three in the second, and one in the third.

With today's loss, Holland Christian's season comes to a close. They finished with a 23-9 overall record.

David Williams led the Maroons' offense with a .442 batting average, 46 hits, 15 doubles, a home run, 29 RBI.

Josh Sterenberg batted .416 with 42 hits, 23 RBI, and 20 stolen bases.

The Maroons combined for a .316 average and outscored their opponents 182-108 over the course of the season.

Spencer Slenk was the only senior on the team this year. The Maroons won't be losing quantity, but rather quality as Slenk played in all 32 games as either pitcher, catcher, or outfielder.
